HISTORY & DESCRIPTION: ZAIDA was built in 1921 by Silvers of Rosneath for A C Forrest of Glasgow to John Bain’s Maple-Leaf Class Motor-Cruiser design. First of the class was MAPLE LEAF built in 1919, subsequently, six vessels were built to this design ZAIDA being the last and of slightly larger dimensions overall. HISTORY & DESCRIPTION: The Fairey Duckling was produced during the 1950s & 60s by Fairey Marine in Hamble to a design by the legendary naval architect Uffa Fox. The Duckling dinghy was essentially a sailing or rowing tender produced by the hot moulded method of double diagonal laminates of glued Agba.
