About the Bavaria 47
The Bavaria Cruiser 47 captures the spirit of everything that sets Bavaria apart. the Cruiser 47 provides an interior layout that is designed to be spacious, comfortable and elegant at anchor while providing security and versatility under sail. In this, the three-cabin version, the owner’s stateroom forward features an elegant vanity area to port and a spacious head to starboard. The U-shaped dinette has additional seating on centreline, utilising conveniently removable stools that fit securely into sockets in the cabin sole.
Ten opening hatches and eight opening ports further enhance the open, airy feeling of the interior.
A full width swim platform allow for easy stern boarding. Ergonomically designed cockpit seats supply comfortable, secure seating while underway, or room for relaxed lounging. The sailplan is designed for easy short-handed sailing with a roller furling mainsail configuration. A furling headsail and additional light wind gennaker make this boat a pleasure to sail whatever the weather.
The Bavaria Cruiser 47—elegant in styling, exceptional in performance.
We bought this boat from the previous first owner as our liveaboard home to sail around the Greek islands. During the last six years we have sailed to all of the Greek islands, many several times. She has never let us down and we have always felt 100% safe even in the roughest and windiest weather. We have travelled several thousand miles during this time. She is a reliable and safe boat in a very good state of repair. Lifted out at the beginning of June 2023 and re-antifouled so good for another couple of seasons before requiring to be done again. As a liveaboard boat the spacious living area makes it a joy. The cockpit area up top is also a good size where you can entertain friends until the early hours.
The boat has been in the same marina in Agios Nikolaos, Crete since almost new. We have a yearly contract with the marina currently paid up until May 2024. There is a possibility to extend the contract. This is a very popular marina with liveaboards and a good winter community with lots of activities. There is a very long waiting list to get in here due to the popularity.
