This 1982 Morgan 462 Ketch is powered by a Perkins 4-154 62hp diesel engine which was rebuilt on 1998, with direct drive and fixed 3-blade bronze propeller. She has approximately 4000 engine hours.
'Plankton' also features a fresh water heat exchange with sea strainer, hydraulic steering, new transmission, and a 7.5kw New Age generator with Kubota engine and dedicated Genset battery and alternator.
This ketch rigged Morgan 462 features SS wire rigging; aluminium mast stepped on keel with fore and aft lowers; and single spreaders on both masts. Aluminium main and mizzen mast and booms. The standing rigging was replaced in 2009 and is checked annually, the running rigging features a single car mainsheet traveller.
Her sail wardrobe includes: 120% genoa, fully battened mainsail, battened mizzen, storm jib, spare Kevlar jib and a spare dacron mizzen.
Deck gear on board this Morgan 462 includes: Lewmar and Anderson winches, electric windlass and 4x anchors.

The main salon of this Morgan 462 is spacious and comfortable with 6' 2" of headroom. The salon has Sunbrella upholstery for easy upkeep; a teak table to starboard with an extension leaf to seat 6-8 people; and a settee to port that converts to a queen berth.
The galley is located amidships, to starboard of the main companionway. The well laid out U-shaped galley features a Corian double sink with a spray faucet, a 3-burner stove with oven, microwave, a huge refrigeration system and a smaller 12V system for use with solar & wind power.
This Morgan 462 features a 12-volt DC system with 12-volt circuit panel with voltmeter and ammeter; as well as a 120-volt AC system with circuit breaker panel. She also has a huge list of navigation instruments included with her.
This Morgan 462 is equipped with a 10ft inflatable tender with Sunbrella chaps (new 2017) and a 4hp Mercury outboard engine, as well as a second Honda 2.5hp outboard engine.

This Morgan 462 provides accommodation for 4 within two spacious staterooms - a v-berth double/twin cabin at the forepeak and an owners stateroom aft.
Forward is a large V-berth stateroom that features a private head. The V-berth can be used as a queen sized bed (80" in length) or two twin berths. The berth features two storage drawers, and two full length shelves port and starboard. Directly aft to starboard, and accessible from the cabin, is the head with a shower, vanity, manual head and a teak floor drain. There is ample storage for towels and cosmetics in the vanity and bulkheads. Directly aft to port in the v-berth is a large hanging locker.
The spacious master stateroom spans the aft section of the boat and features a king-sized master berth with a memory foam mattress. It is reached via the easily traversed portside passageway with 5' 10" of headroom. The stateroom has plenty of storage, including two teak hanging lockers, full length shelving, teak cabinetry and four large teak drawers for clothing & linens. The cabin sole, as the rest of the boat, is veneered teak and holly. There is a large aft hatch which allows excellent ventilation, as well as two ports and two small hatches to port & starboard, forward of the berth. There is also large mirror.
