With regard to the VAT, Blue Star was a British Police boat purchased by the Police in 1992 (along with a possible 5 others) all with VAT paid. The person the current owner purchased from was an ex policeman who was advised of this but received no paperwork to that effect. VAT was paid at purchase by the British Police and was run as a commercial business and was not a charity but no paperwork to prove this is available.
