Presented in excellent condition and extensively upgraded, this Moody 425 is an outstanding example of a true bluewater cruiser. Designed by Bill Dixon and built to Moody’s renowned standards, she combines comfort, strength and offshore capability. Lying in Leros, Greece, and available exclusively through Williams & Smithells International.
Re-powered in 2023 with a Yanmar 4JH5E (just 230 hours), a new prop, shaft, and gearbox, she’s mechanically ready for long-term cruising. Major electrical upgrades in 2023 include a 625W solar array, 3x DS-LifePO4 lithium batteries, Victron monitoring, and a 1600W inverter—ideal for life off-grid. A HFL generator is fitted for backup hot water.
Her cutter rig is equipped with a 2022 Elvstrom mainsail and 2017 Genoa, twin spinnaker poles, and an adjustable backstay. The interior layout offers two spacious ensuite cabins, a bright saloon with 6'2" headroom, updated upholstery (2016), and smart domestic comforts like dual fridges, gas oven, and 220V appliances powered via solar.
Deck gear includes a Lofrans windlass, Delta and Fortress anchors with 75m chain, solid teak cockpit, cockpit cushions, bimini, and passerelle. Navigation is current, with 2024 autopilot, radar, GPS, and VHF systems.
Delivered with a 2025 tender and 2022 outboard.
