Rainbow is a rare find in Greek waters: a well maintained, high-specification Elan 31, designed by the renowned Rob Humphreys, she is the perfect sailing yacht, balancing genuine racing pedigree with comfortable, reliable cruising.

Unlike the high-volume "floating caravans" often found in the Mediterranean, Rainbow was built for those who truly enjoy the art of sailing. Her deep lead bulb keel and keel-stepped mast provide exceptional stiffness and stability even in heavy weather, ensuring she remains upright and predictable when the breeze picks up. On the helm, she is a dream; the tiller steering offers an intuitive, responsive feel that a wheel cannot match, while the deck layout ensures the main and genoa sheets are within easy reach of the spacious, cushioned cockpit.

Rainbow was bought new by the owners in December 2004. In September 2003, she had been Elan's exhibition boat at the Southampton boat show; the following year she was the Elan demonstrator for Moody Yachts of Southampton.

This is an excellent opportunity to own a superb small yacht, already based in the idyllic sailing area of the Ionian. Currently wintering on the hard in Preveza, she is ready for the 2026 season.

The interior reflects Elan's reputation for high quality craftsmanship, featuring a beautifully styled wood finish and blue velour upholstery in excellent condition. She comfortably sleeps six across two private cabins and two saloon berths.

The layout is highly functional, including a forward facing navigation station, a large wooden folding saloon table and a well designed L-shaped galley with an Isotherm ASU fridge, double burner cooker and full service for six.

A significant maintenance highlight is the heads compartment, where all seacocks have been upgraded to Tru-Design glass fibre reinforced nylon, offering peace of mind and eliminating the need for traditional servicing.

Lofrans 1000w windlass with 60m galvanised calibrated 8mm chain.

A Delta bow anchor and a Fortress anchor with an additional 15m of 8mm galvanised chain and 45m rope.

Engine and propulsion: An annually serviced Volvo Penta 19pHp engine paired with a 2-blade Flex-o-fold propellor for superior sailing performance.

Power: Varta 74Ah engine starting battery plus 2 Varta 105Ah domestic batteries.
Mains battery charging system, with 20m shore power lead.
Solar charging (2 x 20w semi-flexible 20w panels).
