40ft Bruce Roberts Spray gaff cutter. Built in steel and in very good condition. Powered by a Mercedes OM 636 diesel, 42hp through a Borg Warner velvet drive transmission. She has seen little use since she was built and all parts of the boat have been maintained to a high standard. She is heavily rigged with 10mm standing rigging also in first class condition. The sails have only seen one season and are also in very good order. She has Seastar hydraulic steering, is equipped with all the usual nav gear..Garmin 440 chartplotter,depth,temp etc..Navman 7200 VHF..
She sails well and is a stable craft in almost all conditions. She has masses of room below with a big main cabin..galley..large aft cabin. We really love her but an unfortunate change of circumstances means we have to part company. She is in turnkey condition and ready to go. |

Mahala is a really good example of this well respected blue water cruiser.
Current owner has refurbished the boat completely. I have used Hempel products throughout and no expense has been spared. New mainsail (2008), complete overhall on the engine (2008). New windows (2008). New batteries (2009). Anti osmoasis treatment, new epoxy paintwork to topsides and deck (all hempel - 2007). New waterpump (2008) New watertank (2009) New high output alternator (2008) New Raymarine S1 weelpilot (2008) New upholstery (2008) completely restored inside - all wooden panels have been sanded and varnished, the result is lovely. Galley and head have been tiled using a mosaic tile. New sink and taps. New VHF (2009) Stereo and speakers in saloon and cockpit. New biminy and spreyhood with matching mainsail cover (2008). New profurl furling system (2008)
The rigging is good, both standing and running.
The dinghy is a loadstar
It has a clipper depthsounder and log.
It has lovley cruising shoot
It has complete cooking utensils and many more items including cockpit gas BBQ and handheld garmin GPS
Mahala has been really cared for, completely restored. I really enjoyed the restoration, but the wife hates to sail.
The Genoa is good for this season but she could really do with a new one. There is a Yamaha outboard for the dinghy but I have never used it. I have had it started a few times.
