Description
Unfortunately selling my sovereign 32 due to a lack of time. She is a fantastic 32ft, encapsulated lead Keel ketch. A fantastic blue water and ocean sailor, deep cockpit, excellent displacement, motion comfort rating far exceeding many (including newest yachts on the market), teak decked, GRP. Bought with the intention of sailing the world but the time has made me have to take other ventures. 5 Berth. She's currently on the hard in a yard that can do lifts, all cosmetic and integral work etc.
Upsides:
NEW electric windlass! With cockpit control.
BOW THRUSTER (yes, for real on a 32)
New windows last year
Mast steps.
Furling Mainsail! (Old school type so not INSIDE the mast, much better for maintenance)
Brand new grill/hob
Teak decking
Water system fitted (hot water was from the previous owner but looks old and I have no idea about it...)
Jabsco heads
Anchor with 5m lines marked
Newly renovated spray hood and complete cockpit cover (in storage)
New flooring
Single into a double in the saloon, double in the ford
Sink in toilet and galley
Cold storage (was once hooked up electrically but no idea now)
GPS, mast lights, stern and bow lights etc.
240v electric system fitted last year (doubles with USB, 1 in ford, 3 in saloon)
Nav table
Plenty of storage
6ft headroom inside
Topside freshly epoxied and painted last year
Roller furling headsail.
Lister Petter 35HP Dual alternator fitted
The reason it's so cheap:
The engine id say needs a refurb or replacing? She ran about a year ago, she's not been out but it doesn't seem responsive now? I'm terrible with engines, might be a very easy fix but honestly no idea. The only thing stopping this getting into the water.
Other than that it's cosmetic work, sort a gas line. Probably a new headsail (cheap and easy on eBay) 12v Electrics are sound but it's quite an old system, personally I'd give them a simple refit.
Honestly, a beautiful example of when boats were made for the oceans, tough conditions, heavy weather and hard sailing.
